Adding a filtration system to your water can also be beneficial. Chlorine and chloramides, which are chemicals that are used to treat tap water are harmful and can make eczema worse. While some recommend a whole house filtration unit, getting a quality filtration system that fits under the counter is good. You can also buy a filter for your shower to help minimize the impact of the water on the skin.

Other treatment options for eczema on the face include anti-itch creams and local anaesthetic creams. However these should be used with caution. The anti-itch creams, typically a topical steroid, can also thin the skin, acne, increased risk of infection and a coloration changes. The local anesthetic creams also have undesirable side effects such as contact dermatitis.

Eczema is bothersome regardless of where you get an outbreak. Eczema on face can be embarrassing, the good news is that there is a variety of treatment options available to help minimize the appearance of the itchy rash and make it go away.
